Our store collections service is often the same price as the delivery offered by the store, but at a flexible time to suit you. Whenever the shop is open we are able to collect. Furniture Dismantling & Assembly

AMS Removals offer a comprehensive furniture dismantling and assembly service. From the simplest children’s beds to large wardrobes, cabin and storage beds, full wall bookshelves etc we can dismantle and assemble it for you. We carry all of the tools required to dismantle and assemble standard furniture on all jobs.

Man and Van

For budget movers, our Man and Van service is suitable if you need to move a 1 or 2 bedroom property within the Greater Manchester area. We are able to provide one, two or three men with a van. AMS Services Prices are : £50 hour for 1 man and van £70 hour for 2 men and van £95 hour for 3 men and van If you require a man and van service at a fixed price, please fill out the form on our Prices page with the information requested there. Please note that, depending on location, a minimum charge or additional fuel cost may be incurred. We also have special rates and offers for student moves, can be called out at short notice, even on the same day, and we have several regular routes, over which we can offer a backload service.

House Moving Tips

1) Once you have your moving date, or if you know that you will move at a certain time, get your packing materials well in advance. Please use strong, high quality boxes that are fit for purpose – ask us if you are not sure. 2) Start packing early! It is easy to underestimate the amount of time that packing your belongings will take, so start to pack away unused and unnecessary items as early as you can. Be sure to use bubble wrap to protect fragile items. 3) When packing make sure that you label boxes clearly so that they can be placed in the appropriate rooms, and be sure to pack as many items as possible and not leave anything unboxed except for large and bulky items – many removals companies will refuse to take unboxed items. 4) Make a list of organisations, friends and family who you need to inform of your change of address. 5) When moving day comes, take your meter readings and inform your electricity, gas and water suppliers that you are changing address. 6) Sit back and let our removals porters take care of all the hard work and heavy lifting as we carry you off to your new home! 7) Unpack your belongings in your new home at your leisure after a stress free move.

House Clearances

AMS Removals are able to offer a comprehensive clearance service for houses, garages and offices alike. We can simply remove all unwanted items to leave the property completely vacant, clean the property so that it is ready for sale or to be handed back to the landlord, or we can remove unwanted carpets, floorings and fittings that are dated and detract from the appeal of the property. Any useable unwanted goods are forwarded to our charity partners for re-use. All waste is sorted and recycled where possible, with unusable waste being disposed of at a licensed waste recycling site. All vehicles used to carry waste products are licensed to do so.

Office Moves

Our teams are experienced in all types of office removals and are able to quickly and efficiently move all of your office equipment including photocopiers, entire IT servers and complex communications systems. We are able to offer a complete service for complex office moves, or a man and van service if you simply need to move your office furniture to your new office. Our Equipment

Our standard vehicle is a luton van with 500kg tail lift. These vehicles have internal dimensions of h – 220cm, l – 400cm, w – 200cm in addition to a space above the cab. We have both larger and smaller vehicles available if required. All of our vehicles are fully equipped with removals pads and blankets to protect your prized possessions, trolleys to assist where there are parking restrictions or long internal corridors, load bearing webbing straps to assist with safe handling of large, bulky and tall items and straps to secure all items during transit. Our drivers carry tools to all jobs to assist with dismantling furniture, and even removing doors where required.

Whether you don’t have the time to pack your belongings before moving day because you have children, are too busy at work, or simply can’t face the task AMS would be happy to help. We use only the highest quality of packing materials and no corners are cut during our packing services. We use packing materials specifically designed for their purpose including hanging garment boxes and mattress protectors. Using our packing service ensures that your belongings will be well packed and well organised to help your moving day go smoothly and without a hitch – we will do everything that can possibly be done the day before your removal to make sure your move day is as straight-forwards as possible. We are happy to offer our packing services for both domestic and commercial customers. When we come to your property to pack we will select a room to use to store all the packed boxes, for example the living/dining room or spare bedroom. We will then stack all packed boxes here to keep the rest of your home tidy and clutter free while we work, and for your final night’s stay in your home. If you prefer, we will even leave your beds up and dismantle them first thing on the day of your move – our services are tailored to make things as easy and stress free for you as possible. We provide our customers with large, heavy duty removals boxes at discounted rates, through the following firm: Eurobox packaging, http://www.euroboxpackaging.co.uk/ We recommend the “Bericap”, “Astraplastique” and “Crown” brand Once Used Boxes.
